Luncheon Meeting: Domestic Violence

October is Domestic Violence Awareness month and an opportunity to highlight this important issue. In 2020, reports to Oklahoma law enforcement were at a 20-year high and Oklahoma saw a 44% increase in domestic violence related deaths.  In our everyday lives we are likely to encounter individuals experiencing domestic violence and it is important to know the signs and how to help. As Tracy Lyall, the Chief Executive Officer of Domestice Violence Interventions Services, says “this violence needs to end, and we can all take part in the solution.”   During this Luncheon Meeting, Jennifer Saldivar and Shanda Sepulveda of DVIS will share information on how to identify the signs of domestic violence, tips with communicating with someone that you believe is in domestic violence situation, and the resources that are available.

Cancellation Policy:
Reservations may be cancelled up until Friday, October 14th at no charge.  If reservations are cancelled after October 14th you will be responsible for paying for the reservation in full.  You can send someone in the place of the person registered for no additional charge.
